the today’s shot is dedicated to Mark Kitaoka, a friendly soul from san francisco. in our frequent mail conversation, mark always grab a smile on my face with his sense of humour and sometimes a tear over my face when he shows me another "moment of humanity shot". he recently has published a book and I wish him all the best and much success. take care my friend.

Vernon, thank you for your very kind words. For me the very best things about sharing photography as a hobby aren't the images, but the chance to meet people and in our case taking the time to meet face to face. Obviously I've always admired your work, but more so knowing you as a person rather than just another photographer. Thanks for the gift of friendship and I truly hope others get to know you personally as well. I just seem to get several early Christmas presents and this is certainly one of them.
